I’ve been in the hearing health industry for 30 years and have devoted my career to helping solve the problems of daily life caused by hearing loss.
First, as a technician, I attained the fundamental knowledge of hearing aid technology and practical skills from seeing how technology provides a better hearing experience, if fit properly. I learned how variances in technology, testing and fitting techniques impact success in hearing loss treatment and overall patient satisfaction. Because I was distressed by the level of patient care and attention available in our industry, I opened our first hearing center in 1994, for the sole purpose of focusing on our patient’s needs first. I have been doing that ever since, and I lead my team of professionals with this objective each day.
Hearing loss has a profound (negative) impact on those afflicted, but also on their loved ones. It touches every facet of life, health, mental well-being and every interaction and relationship. Effective and professional treatment can profoundly change this.
In every interaction, we start with focusing on how to improve lives with better hearing. With solutions, not sales. We start by listening — to patients and to their loved ones. Our work and our success is based on what we learn from this process and our unique capability to provide the most diverse set of solutions available. Sometimes that means fixing a poorly fit hearing aid. Sometimes it means introducing our patient to the world of better hearing and options to achieve it.

Kyle Marie Woods, M.A., F-AAA, Certified Audiologist

Kyle has been helping people hear their loved ones and enjoy life since 1999. Kyle graduated from the University of Akron with a B.A. in Communicative Disorders and Certificate in Sign Language and then went on to earn her Masters in Audiology at Kent State University.
Kyle joined the Choice/Modern Hearing team in 2011 and quickly became a favorite provider for many of our patients. Before joining us, Kyle trained at the Cleveland Clinic for Intraoperative Monitoring, worked Cleveland ENT, and more recently worked for Dr. Leon Neiman, MD in the Akron area.
Kyle’s credentials certainly demonstrate her expertise in the field, but her working experience, listening and problem solving skills are what make her one of the very best at what she does – which is to help people hear the sounds of life again so they can enjoy conversations with family and friends, remain independent in managing their own affairs and health, and engage in life.
Because hearing loss affects the whole family, we use a patient-centered approach. This starts with listening to each patient, and their family or other loved-ones, to understand what they are experiencing and how the hearing loss affects them. Kyle invests the time in understanding each patient’s unique needs and hearing challenges so that she can provide care and options specifically designed for the individual.
Kyle also works with the special needs population. She draws on her experience with the population, and implements a wide variety of techniques to assess and treat their individual hearing needs.
Kyle lives in North Canton with her husband and three children. She is a quilter and avid reader. In her spare-time Kyle can be found working on the latest sewing project or (more likely) cheering on her kids’ Cross Country and Track teams, or helping prepare for Boy Scout outings.
Amy Stein, Front Office Manager (Dover, OH)

Amy was the first person to join our team and has been taking care of the office and our patients in her friendly outgoing and caring way since 1994 when we first opened our doors with our Dover, Ohio office.
Amy is a leader in our practice in so many ways. She can solve or find resources for any problem you may be experiencing and has the fine touch of welcoming new patients and family members in a way that ensures a confident and comfortable transition into our practice. Amy epitomizes our culture and devotion to a patient centered experience. Amy can introduce you to our practice and the way we take care of our patients and their families. Her knowledge and expertise assures that you are well informed and can be confident in choosing us as your provider.
Amy handles all aspects of organizing and coordinating patient needs. She provides expert service in cleaning & servicing hearing aids, in-office or manufacturer repairs, placing orders, setting up financing and generally anything else to help the practice run smoothly and ensure our patients receive the very best.
Amy is a life-long resident of New Philadelphia, Ohio where she lives with her husband. They have a close immediate and extended family. They have two sons and two grandsons they adore.
Cheryl Cunningham, Front Office Manager (Canton / Belden Village, OH)

Cheryl joined our team in 2011 when we opened our Canton/Belden Village office and has welcomed hundreds of new patients and family members since then, making us the premier hearing center in that area. Our culture and devotion to a patient centered practice is fully realized with Cheryl’s warm, kind disposition and her attention to every detail.

Cheryl coordinates all aspects of the office and provides expert help with cleaning & servicing hearing aids, in office or manufacturer repairs, placing orders, setting up financing, answering questions, troubleshooting and problem solving. She has also become a leader and resource within the practice for the various insurance and third party payer programs our patients participate in.
Cheryl lives in Green, Ohio with her husband. Cheryl and Terry’s family includes four grown daughters and their husbands, and they were excited to recently welcome their first grandchild who joined the close-knit family in 2016.
Tina Hockensmith, Front Office Manager (Alliance, OH)

Tina joined our team in 2013 as the Front Office Manager at our Alliance, Ohio office. Tina’s knowledgeable and friendly disposition is the epitome of our culture and devotion to a patient centered experience.

Kelly Gorog, Front Office Manager (Wadsworth, OH)

Kelly recently joined our team at our Wadsworth office location that recently opened in November, 2015. She was carefully selected as the prefect addition to our patient centered culture, which is a key aspect of why so many patients have joined our practice in Wadsworth since 2015.
Kelly’s outgoing nature and warm smile greet each call and visit.
Kelly’s day to day activities includes cleaning & servicing hearing aids, in office or manufacturer repairs, placing orders, setting up financing, answering questions, troubleshooting and problem solving. She guides new patients and family members through the process to ensure all of their needs are fully met and questions answered.
Kelly lives in Wadsworth, Ohio with her husband and two children and their dog. They love to spend time in the outdoors, hiking and biking. Kelly enjoys sports and is super competitive. Kelly’s favorite sport is baseball – Go Tribe!
Erin Lange, Bookkeeper
Erin Lange joined us in 2016 when her predecessor retired. She has been a fantastic addition to our team. Erin’s role mainly involves day to day management of the financial and recordkeeping matters for the entire organization, and our multiple offices, however, she also is known to answer phone calls and greet guests in the office when things get really busy.
Erin is responsible for all internal accounting, banking, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, retirement plan administration, and more.
Erin lives in Canton, Ohio with her husband and two daughtersalong with their horses, 4-H dairy feeders and other family pets. The girls are both accomplished equestrians, 4-H members and compete year-round in rodeos all over Ohio and beyond. Erin is involved in several equine organizations, including Rocky Fork Rodeo, Ohio Junior High School Rodeo.
Jill Rogers, Scheduling Representative & Office Support Member
Jill joined our team in 2010, when we when we acquired our Alliance, Ohio office practice.
Jill’s supports all offices with scheduling, coordinating, patient records, administrative needs, marketing and reception. Jill’s friendly demeanor and flexible attitude make her a valuable resource for our practice and valued team member.
Jill lives in Alliance, Ohio and is often found visiting her daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. Her greatest pleasure is spending time with them, and cheering them on in their many sporting events and school activities.
