We have been lucky to have created the best team of professionals that can be found in our area.

Kyle Marie Woods

Director of Audiology
M.A., F-AAA, Certified Audiologist

Kyle leads our audiology care team as our Director of Audiology overseeing the standard of care across all six of our full service clinics in Northeast Ohio. She has been helping people hear their loved ones and enjoy life since 1999 and joined MHS when it began growing beyond a single office in 2011.

Since that time, Ms. Woods became the most requested provider on our team. Her effervescent, sincere and caring personality compliment her unparalleled approach to patient care which combines evidence based treatment and is 100% focused on successful outcomes in treating hearing loss and tinnitus. She has patients who travel from other locations in Ohio and even outside of Ohio such as Pennsylvania and Texas. Ms. Woods is a true leader in our field and has achieved outstanding national recognition and certifications from the most respected organizations and thought leaders in the country. For example, she is a Certified Dementia Care Practitioner, Certified Tinnitus, and Excellence in Audiology member Practitioner.

Because hearing loss affects the whole family, we use a patient-centered approach. This starts with listening to each patient, and their family or other loved-ones, to understand what they are experiencing and how the hearing loss affects them, then developing a customized treatment plan for the patient, followed by evidence based outcomes. Each new patient is a new friendship and commitment to proper treatment and hearing health care for optimal results and longevity.

Kyle graduated from the University of Akron with a B.A. in Communicative Disorders and Certificate in Sign Language and then went on to earn her Masters in Audiology at Kent State University.

Kyle lives in North Canton with her husband and three children. She is a quilter and avid reader. In her spare-time Kyle can be found working on the latest sewing project, visiting with friends, and helping others. The Woods family are also animal lovers with a dog Piper and kitties rounding out the sometimes chaotic but always fun household!

Dr. Omallah Bush, Au.D.

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Bush joined our practice in 2020 and brings with her many years of experience. She believes that every person deserves the opportunity of better hearing and the best available treatment for hearing loss and tinnitus. In keeping with our values as a practice, Omallah’s approach is tailored to each patient’s needs and circumstances with individualized care at all levels. She takes the time to know each patient and their loved ones and understands all aspects of their lifestyle, needs, budget, listening, or other hearing health challenges. Her goal is to provide a better quality of life for all patients.

Dr. Bush’s educational achievements include a Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Florida, a Master’s Degree in Audiology from Kent State University, and continuous and specialized training in tinnitus treatment, deep fitting techniques, and cognitive effects of hearing loss.

Dr. Ellen Foltz Au.D.

Doctor of Audiology

Dr. Ellen Foltz is a great addition to the Modern Hearing / Choice Hearing team. Ellen’s goal as part of our team is to help treat the 42 million Americans suffering the debilitating effects of hearing loss and tinnitus. Ellen enjoys educating her patients and the community about hearing loss, tinnitus, treatment options and ways to overcome the negative effect of hearing impairment. Her passion is improving quality of life through better hearing by working together to meet their individual goals and needs. Dr. Foltz enjoys building personable rapport and implementing clinical best practice to best serve her patients.

Ellen’s credentials include Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Kent State University, Doctorate in Audiology from Central Michigan University, specialized tinnitus training and American Brain Counsel certification. Before joining Modern Hearing/Choice Hearing, she worked for a private practice Ear, Nose, and Throat office. Dr. Foltz is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed by the Ohio Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Ellen lives in Canton and enjoys walking her dog, exercising, and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Dr. Rachael Olinger, AuD.

Audiologist

Dr. Olinger’s effervescent spirit and desire to put others first is something you will immediately experience when meeting her for the first time. Her goal is to bring people back into the conversations of life so they can live their life to the fullest! With Dr. Olinger, it’s more than just “hearing”; it’s about improving quality of life, cognitive health, and overall well-being. When you leave a consult with Rachael, expect to feel excited about your hearing journey! She is passionate about hearing health and how crucial it is to being healthy as an adult.

She is a graduate of The Ohio State University (Go Bucks!) and completed her doctorate degree at Kent State University.

Besides improving the lives of her patients, Rachael enjoys boating, snow skiing, and walks in the Jackson Bog. She is a resident of Jackson Township and keeps busy with her husband, daughter, and 4 year old golden retriever.

Devan Richardson

Director of Operations

Devan joined our team in 2020 as our first systems manager. In this role, Devan quickly became familiar with each role on our team along with the data and systems integral to our work. After a short time, her work ethic and professional competency made her a natural choice to become our Operations Manager. She has been instrumental in leading our team in accomplishing one of our core values – Continuous Improvement and supporting our team’s dedication to Operational Excellence and a WOW Patient Experience every time. Devan supports the entire MHS team, across 6 offices, to ensure they feel supported in their roles and are armed with all the resources and training needed for success. She has improved clerical efficiency and some of our every day systems and core processes.

Devan also recently was appointed as our first ever Marketing Coordinator, where organizational and communication skills have allowed us to engage with more people in our communities who need help. Devan’s tremendous service mentality and compassion could not be put to better use. At MHS this translates to serving our team and serving our patients on their journey of hearing health care.

Devan lives in Jackson Township with her husband Anthony, son Jason, dog Lex. The enjoy spending time together and creating memories!

Amy Stein

Licensed Audiology Aide / Front Office Manager (retired)

Amy was the first person to join our team and has been taking care of the office and our patients in her friendly outgoing and caring way since 1994 when we first opened our doors with our New Philadelphia, Ohio office.

Amy is a leader in our practice in so many ways. She can solve or find resources for any problem you may be experiencing and has the fine touch of welcoming new patients and family members in a way that ensures a confident and comfortable transition into our practice. Amy epitomizes our culture and devotion to a patient-centered experience. Amy can introduce you to our practice and the way we take care of our patients and their families. Her knowledge and expertise assure that you are well informed and can be confident in choosing us as your provider.

Amy is a life-long resident of New Philadelphia, Ohio where she lives with her husband. They have a close immediate and extended family. They have two sons and two grandsons they adore.

Kathy Basiletti

Licensed Audiology Aide / Front Office Manager (New Philadelphia)

Kathy joined our team in 2018 as a part time assistant and quicky became a key team member. Now, as Front Office Manager, she ensures that our patients’ experience in our office is the very best it can be. Kathy describes our team as one big family spread out between four offices. She loves always have new learning opportunities and that patients always get that personal touch at our offices. Kathy goes out her way to make sure that everyone feels welcome. She loves that almost everyone who comes in the door has a mutual friend of a friend or family member.

Kathy lives in Dover, Ohio and enjoys time with her friends and family. She has a daughter, two sisters and both parents who are all very close.

They love to get together as possible. Kathy grew up in Dover and the family gathers for great food and a good time whenever possible.

Alexis Chipman

Licensed Audiology Aide / Front Office Manager (Alliance)

Alexis is part of our audiology team, supporting two busy clinics. She joined us from Mercy Hospital, and is excited be a big part of our mission to help treat the 42 million Americans suffering with hearing loss. Alexis is committed to continuous learning.

Alexis lives in Canton and enjoys cooking, spending time with her friends and family, and finding creative ways to do her nails.

Jill Slish-Barnett

Patient Experience Coordinator, Licensed Audiology Aide & Front Office Manager (Akron)

Jill joined the MHS team after a long career in the beaty field where she managed salons and teams to provide a truly life changing experience. She is now a key member of the MHS team where her passion to help people feel confident with themselves has resonated and impacted so many new patients seeking a trusted source for hearing health care.

Jill enjoys meeting and working with people and building rapport. She has quickly become a leader within our team and has an amazing energy that infects everyone she works with. In in her free time Jill enjoys going to the gym, yoga, bike riding, hiking & reading.

Ashley Blair

Licensed Audiology Aide

Ashley is an audiology aide serving patients at our busy Canton and Alliance clinics. She loves helping our providers, staff and patients for a fully integrated case management approach. This helps us deliver our patients an unprecedented WOW experience in our offices, which includes same day appointments, walk in service and extra TLC for any special technology requests. Her background in providing care in the hospital setting means she has great attention to detail and a perfect understanding of the impact our care has on individuals and their families. While she is making a huge impact in our hearing care mission currently, she is also focused on continuous learning and looks forward to advancing her professional career in the field of audiology.

While she is a great asset to our MHS team, Ashley has a very busy role outside of the clinic. She lives in North Canton with my husband, 2 daughters and golden retriever. She enjoys music, cooking, photography and gardening.

Front Office Manager (Millersburg)

Jennifer is a true professional when it comes to taking care of the newest patients in our MHS family, now that we have started serving the Millersburg and surrounding communities. Jennifer is a recent addition to our team and brings a strong background of service and support. She is looking forward to meeting all of our patients and adding even more to the new office, where she will continue to provide five-star service and help everyone navigate the new journey toward hearing health and overall health in the process.

Jennifer enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children. She loves the great outdoors and cooking for everyone she knows. She always greets everyone with a smile.
